Scott Weingart (@emcrit) on IVC Ultrasound……also FREE iBooks for all……and also #FOAMED Innovation Scholarship!

Wow, that’s a packed headline.  Let’s break it down:

Weingart on IVC:

1.     The one, the only, Scott Weingart from emcrit.org tells us why IVC ultrasound is useful and why you should never trust Mike Stone (hint….it has to do with kittens).

#FOAMED Innovation Scholarship

2.     We mentioned a couple of days ago that we were creating a #FOAMED Innovation Scholarship.  Go back a few days to read more about that.  The way we’re going to fund it initially is by continuing to sell the ibook on itunes and putting 100% of all sales towards the scholarship.  So if you want the itunes experience of downloading the iBook instead of the free hacked file, that’s cool.  Purchase it and 100% of your purchase will go towards the scholarship.  If you have an idea and you want to apply for the scholarship, please do!  Here is the application.

OK, that’s a lot for one podcast.  Sorry for all the cramming.  Here are all your links to awesomeness:

Thanks so much for making this available for direct download!

I’m so glad to be able to share this book with physicians on my global health elective in rural Mexico, where the ultrasound machine is frequently used. This is a tremendous resource and I’m glad that it’s so accessible.
